What is the best Front Hub replacement for a 2001 F350 4x4 Diesel in your opinion?
I was on the way to the coast last weekend and my Driver side went out so for a quick fix the wifee went to O'Reilly and bought their brand to get threw the weekend. I replaced it on the side of the highway but now am looking to replace both of them and get away from the Auto-locking Hubs and go with a more reliable hub(yes I go off-road quite a bit). All opinions welcome Thanx again.
I replaced my driver's side hub/brg assembly about 60,000 miles ago with one from O'Reilly. No problems with it. I'd get the other one there too. I still have the ESOF hubs with no problems.
Good to know about the warns. I chose to rebuild my stock ones. The only reason I had any issues with mine after 300,000 kms was due to the siezed u-joint in the axle punching out the hub. In taking my stockers apart, they are in damn fine shape (except for the busted plastic ring in one). I have one cleaned and back together, just like new, was suprised how little wear was on the inside. Took the time to glass bead and re-paint the housing as well as new o-rings. Will likely get another 300,000 kms out of them.
I was looking at the Warns as well, but I'm thinking otherwise. I also heard Dynatrac was good but I almost had an astma attack when I saw their prices compared to others.
