i got some for mine at the local tire shop. they had a few in stock but they were visably i touch different than my factory ones but they were the same length and everything. they ordered a few more and were in the next day. mine is not a dually but is a 250 HD diesel with factory alum rims.
MLSC, don't forget, You can still use the inside steel dual rims on the front, thats what Im using right now for a spare, I just need to get the right lug nuts for it to be ummm....correct.
Oh, but of course, just gotta keep a bag of flat-flange lug nuts in your emergency kit... and remember where you put said kit
Well, Went and priced new lug studs at o-rilies and they are 2.20 a piece and for 32.... Napa wanted 3.69.... ouch. So I just replaced the needed 7 for now.
D/Cummins, went to the lug shop today and asked about the 5/8 in lugs for your dodge axle and I think he has them. I actually asked for the lugs on an older dodge 1 ton dana axle with big studs and he brought me 3 different 5/8 lug nuts without me saying 5/8 so Im assuming they are the right ones.
The first 5/8 lug was flat for a hub piloted setup
the second was a long 5/8 with a small 60 degree bevel
The thired was a long 5/8 with a large ummm 45 degree bevel i think.
Anyway I talked to the older guy there and he seemed to know most of this off the top of his head with no book so if you call them, ask the older guy. Their number is 405-239-2010. He said they were rare lugs as theres not much market for them older ones but keeps them in stock for the few like us.
I actually found out I had the wrong lugs on mine and he had mine and the correct ones. Mine, the hex part was hitting the aluminum rim cause the taper was not deep enough and the correct ones had the correct taper.
Thanks a TON!!!!!!!
I'll give him a call, thank goodness for the "OLD GUYS"!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like everytime I need advice on something for my "old" rigs the "old guys" are the only ones that know anything.
I am trying to learn everything I can from them for the day when I'm the "old guy" and they aren't around to help me anymore.
I know you're not an "old guy" but thanks just the same! LOL
