I think you should have also asked in the poll, what themostat people are running in the motor. I am curious to see if a 203 stat may be a player in cracked blocks.
Not yet, but I don't know what will happen once I get my new mods in. I don't think the 203* stat would hurt anything, but I would like to know if those that cracked a block had that in. We need to fine out more about these cracks.
I think any relation of the 203* t-stat and a cracked block would be coincidental. The engine doesn't really see 203* unless it is working hard. I wouldn't think 8* about stock temperature would be enough to cause any problems. I've had mine in there almost 5 yrs now.

I run a 203 stat too, just wanted to see if it was in any of these cracked blocks. I am not trying to cuase any alarm, but it does allow for a slightly higher temp before opening, thats my only theory behind it.
