old block new block swap?
I have an older ('64?) 390 that was supposed to have been in a Galaxy and want to put it in my '76F2504x4 that has original 360. Do the block castings have different style motor mounts? 
Has anyone heard of some kind of mounting adapter? I would like to at least hear that it's been done

Your '64 Galaxie motor will have two motor mount bosses per side. '65 and later engines have four per side. The extra two are forward of the origional two. Your truck uses the two forward bosses, there is nothing on the older block to bolt onto. Don't know of an adapter being sold but have heard of the swap being done.
