I recently bought a 04 exp. The right front axle seal was leaking, so the dealer pulled the front differential and replaced both axle seals while they had it out. The next night the front dif cover was leaking. It never leaked before this. Did they do something wrong, or did it just decide to leak with more pressure in there? If I fix the cover leak myself, does the dif have to come out to pull the cover off, because it looks like a tight fit to get the cover off. Thanks.
I took it back, and they said they didn't do anything with the front cover. They said they just unbolted the axles and dropped the front dif to replace the axle seals.
