They were apparently stopped at one of the border crossings yesterday but have vowed to get in thru another one and said the crossing guards "would have to strip search them to find the WBC tattoos on their butts."

Bend over ladies and gents!

The people of the city of Winnipeg are in an uproar over this and have vowed to make sure they don;t get anywhere near the family or the church tomorrow.

For the sake of Tim's family I certainly hope this doesn't turn into a three ring circus or a riot with the Winnipeg Tactical Unit there. Give them their privacy and right to bury their son in peace please.

Mrs. Bouts.

According to one of the members, they say some of their members got across the border. They couriered the signs.

They are here but now doubt they will protest because "they fear for their safety". Well duh-what did they expect, hugs?

Winnipeggers are totally outraged by this and have vowed to protect the family from seeing or hearing any of them. Even the police will be on hand to make sure everything goes well. I hope to God it does.

canucks tend to stick together thats for sure. what needs to happen now, is a group of people go and boycott their church or whatever they do... i know eye for eye isn't the right thing to do, but freedom of religion is one of our valued traits as canadians... no way cross border citizens(or home ones) should be allowed to interfere with our freedom...

It seems the funeral was quiet and peaceful-don;t know exactly what happened to the nutbars, er, I mean the religious wackos from the U.S.

I didn;t see the local news.

Maybe they were told they would have to sit and watch the next Bomber football game and they decided to head back to the hills.

My bad.

Apparently it all went well, and the people were there to shield the family and the family apparently went around and thanked them before the service.
How lovely indeed.

Makes you glad to be a Winnipegger and a Canadian.

I read a few different articles that said it went well, good to hear, hope they had as nice of a funeral as they could have.
