i read/heard one story that said after he decapitated the body, he proceded to eat it... can't remember where i seen that so it might not be gospel... no matter what the story, its a tradgic/weird happening.

I agree. Its like that footage of Gail Miller (the girl David Milgaard had been accused of killing). My goodness, however many decades later the family must still endure the media publicity. Its terrible!!!

It gets better-this Sat is his funeral and some nut, wacko religious group from the U.S. is sending 7 protesters to stand outside the church with their signs with such things as "God Hates You" etc................they are listed in the U.S. as a hate group and have gone to several American soliders' funerals and most recently Heath Ledger's funeral because he played the part of a homosexual cowboy. They are called the Westboro Baptist Church and say this man's death "was a punishment to Canada for all of the sins we commit up here, ect...." and that Vince Li "was sent there to kill him." And then PETA wanted an ad in the Portage La Prairie newspaper liking his beheading to the innocent slaughter of animals that happen every day because we won;t become vegetariens!!
I wished I hadn;t read the paper this morning. Only good thing in it was about the Manitoba economy doing so well-just behind Sask.

Thats great to hear about the economy, nice news.
That is ridiculous about that group. They better watch it though, that could cause them more trouble from grievers then they could imagine. If that ever happened at a funeral of any sort that I was at, I would personally remove them from the area.

The Winnipeg Police were informed of their "trip" so hopefully they will have them stopped before anything can happen. Maybe the Cdn. Customs officials are aware of them and will be stopped at the border before they can get through.

I just read that article, and I really would like to head to winnipeg and "meet up" with these protestors.

well... all personal religious thoughts aside, i heard that the victim was a gothic type... very possible could have been a hate crime and not some random freak show. who knows?? maybe we'll never know. its sad, tragic, but outside of our judgement...entirely.
as for canada's sins being nastier than anywhere else lately...ever been to vegas or new orleans??
