Post A/C Question.

Hi,How are you guys?
I have been making My Father go to the junkyard EVERY DAY,this is the second time we've went in 2 days.Well anyway,we saw a 75 F250 Camper Special Ranger Out there,Me and Father are gonna go out and take some things at about 6:30-7:00Am,it has A/C! Could me an Father pull out all the AC things and then some how put it all in our truck?
If so how and is this a lot of work and has any one done it?
Off Topic, but I'll just let you know what all my dad has taken so far for our truck at the Junk Yard OK?
-All of the Trim,Cab Bed from a 76 F250 Camper Special.
-Mufflers-From a 1965 F100 (will they fit? I hope so.P.S.He took the whole thing, all the way from the front to the back. He got both.
-Some weird blue thingy off the 65 that was small and had wires coming out of it.
-today we are going, who knows what we will get,I will fill you in when we get it.
So any help would be very helpful,Thank you so much in advance.
BTW:You guys are the best, and we are the best Forum,73-79s are THE BEST.

if its a factory a/c truck, you'll have to fab the whole in the firewall for the a/c box.... make sure you grab brackets and pulleys

I can't believe you said you were off topic in your own thread.
He should just put the in his signature so that he doesn't have to say it every time he posts. He is probably the only person who can make his own post off topic though LOL

UMMMMMMM? Everything.

You did not get any of these parts that you need.

Condensor
Compressor
Pulleys
Brackets
Idler pulley
A/C / Heater box (firewall side)
Expansion valve
Lines
Charge blocks on the compressor
Filter / drier
Plenium
A/C / heater box inside cover
Heater/ A/C controls
Vacuum lines
Defrost tube
Vacuum tank
Wiring harness
Heater shutoff valve
Condensor drain tube
Heater cable
Fresh air duct
Temperature control switch

Having down this swap 9 times now I have it down to a 3 hour job including chrging the unit and reinstalling the grill and bumper for the condensor.

A/C alternative

Seeing that adding factory a/c might be a little difficult to install may I suggest an alternative ?

Or maybe this

And instead of a generator in the bed , you can run long extesion cords

Don't forget the extra pulleys and the belt that drives the compressor. A/C puts additional demands on the cooling system so if the fan is larger than yours grab it along with the larger radiator.
That ought to keep you busy for awhile.
