04 5.4 chip?
I have a 04 F250 5.4. A few guys have told me to look at chip/programmers. What will I gain from one? Whats the best?Do they effect fuel mileage? The truck is stock and I really don't want to start doing mods. I plow with it in the winter and tow a boat in the summer. Most times it my driver. Thanks

I don't have your truck, but I own an F150. I use an Edge right now, soon to upgraded to the Gryphon from powerhungryperformance. I have seen an increase of 2.5 MPG with this chip. The engine runs smoother and the tranny shifts are much firmer. For every day driving I run around on the performance setting and get the best mileage with it. When I tow my 4500lb rockcrawler I change to the 87 octane tow tune and she just drags that thing every where.
