Another CCV question

I am getting ready to do the ccv and the 6637 filter this weekend. When i do the filter i am going to do a stainless intake tube. my question is when i do the ccv do i have to use the coupler piece or can the new tube go from filter to the turbo.

The stock intake at the filter is 4", however the stock inlet on the turbo is just a shade under 3". So you can't take a pipe and go directly from the filter to the turbo due to the size difference.

Just use 4" exhaust pipe to couple the filter to the stock tube, and then another 4" piece of exhaust pipe to fit where the CCV inlet is. Easy as pie.

If you use an SS pipe from the filter to the stock piece that connects to the turbo, you'll have a harder time getting the filter in/out. I would do as Curtis suggested.

ok i was really hopin to do it as one piece and then paint or polish mostly just for dress up/ appearance. I thought it would be easier to do them both at once but if you recomend against it i will rethink my plans

I've thought about doing it too... not trying to steer you against it just trying to provide some info.

You can do it with one piece from the CCV mod to the filter no problem. A couple guys have done it IIRC you use a 45* or 33* bend in a 4" ss pipe. Polish it up and you are good to hook! I have seen some pictures and it sure does look sharp. Someday...
