Wiper issues....They don't work!

OK latest ghost....so the wipers worked fine until about a week ago...then it was raining and they were on but I could see they were slowing down and a weird sound seemed to be coming from the motor....finally they quit working....and now they will only work in the HIGH position. If I turn the switch back, they stop right where they are. I have to time it so they stop at the bottom. OK switch or motor?

If they don't return "home" when you shut them off, that's probably the motor. I say "probably" because anything is possible. If the motor doesn't have power to the "home" switch, well, it won't "home" either

I've been looking at the schematic for my '01, I'm assuming they are somewhat the same.
There are two relays, a "run/park" and a "high/low" relay. And everything is controlled by the GEM.
Do you have any water on the floor on the passenger side?

Nope...no water/leaks. This all started after I let her sit for about a week. I left my 2way radio on in the truck so I had to jump start it...reset all the stereo settings etc...Then went to spray and wipe the dust off the windshield and thats when I first found the wipers not working.
