we are still typing at the same time. It is and the best I can tell it is staying there. I have the solenoid unplugged. I dont know if it could close with it unplugged but I guess anything is possible.
It take oil pressure to activate and will not when unplugged. I would disconnect the rod and make sure the lever moves. I've heard stories of it being turned in the wrong direction and still be hooked up. The only way you will get that much back pressure is if the valve is closed or the exhaust is plugged up.
It will move. Moves toward the passenger side. I drilled a few holes just in front of the muffler. I know some of these are straight trough and some are not. This one appears to not be. I run a small wire up inside of the hole running towards the muffler and hit solid. It would not pass through. tells me there is a good chance that it is stopped up considering he was burning oil like you wouldn't believe when it blew the motor and he did not stop. I am tired of jacking with it today and I think I am going to find a beer. Tomorrow I way cut the exhaust pipe off and see what it does.
Well that wasn't the problem I checked back pressure at the muffler and it was only 3# max stayed mostly around 1.5-2 I am still looking. The turbo turns freely so I dotn know if it could be sticking once heated up.
Well guys I got the back presure problem solved. I am still having a bit of trouble. It is still falling on its face. If you back out of it and then ease back in it go like a bat out hell for a bit then it does the same thing. I pulled the tank and the pickup was unbaliably stoped up. Cleaned it and the tank. Maybe a tab better but still doing the same thing. There has been a new pump stock installed. I felt that might aswell get one that was a bit better rated for more gph but was out voted. I am going to pull the lines that go from the fuel filter housing to the head and check all of that out. Open to any other sugestions.
I did get it on a good scanner pulse widths are doing just what they should they are not falling off. leads me to think there is a restrection some where in the fuel.
yeap sure did. I should have taken a photo I beat you never seen any that bad. I pulled 4" long grass clippings out of the tank. Not just a few but a bunch. I salved the "fuel cut" issue. I pulled the check vavles and gutted them out. Truck no longer falls on it's face.
thanks for all the help guys.
I will be around a lot more. I just picked up a 99 f350 with 123 on the clock. Runs like a top but could use one heck of a bath.
now going back to your injectors, you said you have modified AA injectors, those are single shot injectors, those trucks are equiped with split shot injectors, i dont think superchips can correct that issue, you might need to do some tuning on this truck to make it run correctly.
is it me or i was just reading the whole thing wrong?
Pete you read that right so would you please explain what I need. Power is still down compared to what I think it should be so if this could be a issue I would like to know. I asked rosewood when I bought the kit and he said it was not. I have had that in the back of my mind all along but it was never brought up so I didn't think it was a issue.
Glad it's fixed, but you need to consider a good quality pre-pump filter, 'cause you've got dirty fuel, and that's gonna' cost ya', big time! Not to mention, mess up those big nozzles!
you might want to considder DP-Tuner, they are the sponsor for our forum. top right hand corner, or look under sponsors,
give them a call and explain what you have , and Jodi can reprogram your computer-if you decide to go with a chip than he can program the chip.
but those inj are not running like they should , and without proper tuning, i hope you not causing a damage to them or your truck....
