I'm no shrink, but how could you do something like that in a calm collected manner and NOT be insane? On second thought how could you do something like that at all if you were sane?

Well I sorry to hear that. Maybe the pansies should change their minds. They might if the person is there family member.

Nope, you didn't step on my toes at all. I just don't want this thread to get booted to the club like most death penalty threads.

its a shame no one had a gun in the underside compartment in there baggage. i would have volunteered to walk right into the bus and blow him away! in fact that is exactly what the cops should have done! question???? if a man did just as i suggested, do you think a jury would convict, knowing what we do of this story so far???? Dan

> just another reason law-abiding citizens need to carry a firearm

Yep, but, that will not happen in Canada. Though the police did arrive in time to toe tag the victim. Poor kid killed like that on the bus, it must have been horrible to die like that. It just isn't right.

I would first hope with deepest sincerity that the individual who was beheaded with all things considered had already went into a self preservation mode of sorts from being stabbed so many times and had been rendered at least partially out of it to point where the rest of the event was not quite so harsh in his last moments.

The sad thing is as much as I hate it along with everybody else these things happen and dispite what we are lead to believe it is not nothing new or unusual as this has happened all through the ages in different forms of another.

This did not make this act right nor should be tolorated but dispite the fact that we are supposed to be more of a sensitive enlightenment in this modern age, that short of any possible measures that might have been at that moment to subdue the attack and prevent injury to others would also be viewed as violent and crual such as the 6 shooter going off 37 times.

Don't get me wrong, I hate to think what I would have done with a gun there, I don't realy think I would have used good judgment despite knowledge of guns and reasonabilty, seeing something like that and not able to help mixed with acces to a gun would not have been a good thing.

I have no syphathy for the killer and I do hope he gets whats comming and deserved, it is good that we have law's to abide by both here and in Canada as if we did not when would outright vigilanty acts take place that would if left unchecked cause inoccent people to fall victim to someone else's idea of right and wrong?

I heard that he ate a piece of his victim.

Edmonton to Winnipeg is a long time to be cooped up in a Greyhound bus.

He stabbed him to death first, didn't he?.......

If our papers got it right down here, they're charging him with SECOND-degree murder?....Is that right?......If so, how can THAT be?......

And for all of those here who already mentioned armed citizens.....Yup....This would have been a classic case of shooting some sick SOB who was murdering a fellow citizen.....

Mass transit has it's downsides.....Obviously one is getting hacked to death or shot by a sicko....Or dying when the bomb explodes.....

That's what I don't understand.

He's charged with second degree murder, but not first.
