center back rest/console down adjustment?

center back rest/console down adjustment?
I just had the center back rest/fold down cup holder arm rest center console
replaced under warranty because the fabric was pulling off.The new console
doesn't sit level when down.The trim tech says thats the way it is.Is there a adjustment to raise or lower the down position so it can be level when down?My original center console was not tilted up like the new one is.Any help?

This may be no help at all but here it goes. I my self have the same type of problem albeit a little different. My rig has the leather interior and the bottom of the center backrest has pulled out or been ripped out from under the arm rest cubby door. I asked a very similar question about how to remove the cup holder and door assembly. I got no reply, but here is what I found.
On line I found the service manual pages that show how to remove the back rest from the seat. That portion seemed pretty straight forward. The link I used (https://www.motorcraftservice.com/pu...20/S3OLEFT.HTM) , You may not need all that, but there I found service info for removal . Unfortunate for me, It doesn't show a blow up of the parts I needed to remove. If you remove it your self and note all operations as you do it you may be able to make adjustments the tech didn't. Or maybe he put in a unit that doesn't belong. Hope this helps. (Oh yea. The seats fall under "body" in the service manual ) and I think your correct, it should sit flat, relative to the seat.
