Console.. Need pics quick.. Anyone!
I found a guy who has a Center Console that matches my interior.. He's willing to sell it to me for a 100 bucks.. Its in perfect condition.. I really hate the center seat as I have nobody to sit next to me.. I have the 40/20/40 front seats in the CC.. Does anyone have a photo, or can take a photo and show me what it looks like with the console. I'm trying to figure out if it sits high enough to put my arm on when I'm driving or if the seats had arm rests if you had the center console.. I really want it, its a good price but I do like having my arm rest.. I just hate that damn fold down seat because the compartment on the back is retarded..

I think only captians seats have the fold down arm rests; I may be wrong though. I too dislike the center fold down esp. comming from a Suburban with captians; but I often have six people in the truck.

Im not concerned with that so much.. I just can't recall if you had the center console did you have captain chairs with armrests on em.. Or did ford make the XLT (like mine) with center console...
I'm just afraid the console is too low and my arm will practically be on the ground leaning against it.. I just love the console over that middle seat.. I think it would work? Its like 14 1/2" tall..

I've got an XLT Sport package w/ the monochromatic grille and such. It has leather captain's chairs w/ fold down armrest's and a center console. I'll try to get pics but it probably won't be until the weekend. Sorry dude...Do you want me to measure mine? Or I can describe it as best I can. Let me know.
And no, it's not high enough for me to put my arm on. I'd be laying over to rest my arm on it. I'm 6'3" so if you shorter, maybe....

Alright Storm,
It measure's 14.5" tall from the lowest edge. It actually only measures about 12" high from the top of the tranny tunnel. It's 4" lower than the top of my armrest.
It's been so long since I rode w/out my armrest down, I tried it. It's not that bad but I'm definitely leaning. I hope this helps man.....

Thanks man.. I guess it turns out to be how bad do I want it... Do you like your console? LOL.. It would be like drivin a regular cab with no arm rest.. I just hate that clunker I have plus if you get in and you happen to hit it.. The damn thing flies back and everything in side it gets throw everywhere.. Especially my jar with the change in it..
So.. Hmm.. $100 for new center console.. Not bad deal.. If I dont like it I can always ebay it LOL

Yeah, you can always get rid of it. I like mine. It's great for storage and such. But w/out the armrest's, it might be kinda weird. But good luck man, Glad I could help.

Hey Storm, you're not going to be leaning on the stock center console. Way too low... The captain's chairs look just like the 40/20/40 seats minus the 20 and add the arm rest. I wouldn't be surprised if you could just add the arm rests. The hole is probably under the fabric.

Hmmm... I'mma have to look... Dave can you tell me how far from the bottom of the seat the Arm rest is? Is it indented into the seat? Or just off thes ide of it?

Storm the arm rest is just on the side of the seat and is held on by one bolt, ford might have made all seats with the option to put arm rests on, they like to use the same parts for multiple applications, costs more money. The only way i can think of to tell would be to take the seat cover off unless someone else has been in this situation and knows. The arm rest is a couple of inches higher than the seat, probably about 6.
