What size bolt?

What size bolt?

i'm dropping my fuel tank, and can't seem to find the right size socket. What size is it? 1/2 too small,9/16 to big, 14mm too big. 13mm to small. ???????

can i just take the 2 bolts out on one side? instead of all 4?

Yea - You can just take 2 out and pivot the brackets back- Cant remember the size of the bolts, but they werent anything out of the ordinary, unless the heads are stripped.

ok i got 13mm on the bolt heads. once i get the tank down, and if there is any crap at the bottom what is the best way to get it out?

I assume you will be removing the ring and the float assembly? Then just reach inside with a rag and clean it up (if I remember correctly). If you got arms like Popeye after spinach, get some kid to do it for you...spring for a sodie pop.

That was good.


I second the shop vac. I'm doing mine next week and i think that it would work good. Then, I might save what it gets out to use to start bomb fires.
