today i spent over three hours tryin to adjust my timing, we read my haynes manual and did everything according to what it said, the only thing we couldnt figure out was when it says disconnect the single wire SPOUT we had no clue what that was, ,the book didnt really show were it would be located, bvut we adjusted my timing to 10 degrees BTDC, we set it to the stationary marker that said TIME on it, we positioned it so 10 degrees laid equal to TIME. now it runs like crap. when I start it it barely starts. it has trouble keeping idle up and almost dies. it dogs so much when I drive it, ,and vibrates like crazy, i cant even drive faster then 60 mph and it takes forever to get to even 50 mph. i have replaced all spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, ignition coil all with in the last 4 months. but it worked fine before we started tring to adjust the timing. anyone has anyclue what is wrong let me know

What ignition system do you have?
TFI-IV ?
The following is for that.
The spout connector they are referencing is the wire that goes to the TFI/ICM module harness.
It's a connector about an 1" across.
This has to be unplugged to accurately time the engine.
If it has a two wire sysytem there is a special shorting bar in the connector.
its the blue one, also what would this SPOUT look like, I have no clue what im looking for or were it is located. I dont know If I have the single wire spout or the double.
