rear hatch

is there any way to open the rear hatch if the electronic doors locks are not functioning? neither the remote nor the button inside the truck is working.

On the 03' you have a button above the license plate. It is an electric release, so based on your problem it may not function either. Other than that, a brick will open it.

No key locks on the rear hatch. And I apologize for my answer - I though you were asking about the glass, you were asking about the whole hatch.

no external key ...thinking that the brick is a good answer

Hmmm that is a good point I never thought about it --- there is no internal handle so if the hatch is locked and the actuator is not working it seems it cannot be opened. Bad design in case of an accident.
