Cruise control help

My cruise control quit working. The manual shows no fuses or relays for the cruise control. When I pulled the harness connector from the servo module, about a half cup of oil ran out. The cruise has worked fine since new until I boosted off another car...that's when the cruise quit working. Any ideas out there?

It would help if you mentioned the vehicle.

Cruise control designs changed through the years.

OOPS! It is a 1997 F150, 4x4off-road,4.6W, auto trans. It appears to be purely electrically controlled.

Cruise control help

What kind of manual are you looking in for fuse descriptions? I'm pretty sure there are fuses in the circuit. My 93 shows two fuses for the cruise control. Either of the two fuses blowing would have several other things not working in the truck. Do you have other things that aren't working? One thing to look for is a broken servo to throttle body cable.

I'm looking at the owners manual for the fuse/relay locations. The cable is OK. It doesn't have any vac. hoses like the older ones.
