I have a 06 F-350 103000 purchased in Sept. The Cruise control was working when I bought it and about three weeks ago it just quit. I looked for a fuse but none are marked cruise control I am sure one of the fuses is for it but can not identify which one. And if it is not the fuse can anybody tell me what to look for. Thanks for your help in advance.
My cousin's 05 quit working and it turned out to be the switch on the clutch went bad. You probably have an auto but it could be the switch on the brake pedal too.
I replaced the switch (can't remember the correct name) at the end of the master cylinder on our Excursion and that did the trick. It only cost $22.00 and a simple fix.
Well the number 12 fuse is good. I will start checking the rest Tuesday afternoon after i get this cast off my hand. I sue I will be abe to fix with all of the input I have received. Thanks I really do appreciate it.
Still would be nice to kwow if that is manual or automatic?
On clutch switch easy test is to see if the engine will start without depressing the clutch.
I did the same as Big Sky on my 2002 F250. It had the recall done but the switch was still leaking brake fluid through and shorting out. The replacement is a lot heavier duty and you can do away with the recall mess safety fuse. About 5 min and $22 fixed it.
I just did my sensor on the master cylinder reservoir too. Fixed it without a hitch. Mine had the recall work done. Same with my both my brothers super duty's.
