Reason: forgot
Well I see you've had 20 reads with no replies, so I'll try & get the ball rolling.
My first suspect, if it was missing during acceleration, was plugs too, but I see you've already changed them & the plug wires apparently without good effect.
Did you check/set the new plugs gap to min spec, before installing & did you properly torque the plugs????
What kind of condition is the distributor cap contacts & rotor in???? If they are worn, such that their gap is excessive, it'll put a weaker spark to the plugs, that could blow out under hard acceleration.
Other thoughts.
Did this problem begin AFTER you did the carb rebuild????
If so, maybe suspect a low float bowl fuel level, or maybe a weak shot from the accelerator pump. If all thats ok, check fuel pressure.
A bunch of thoughts for pondering. Let us know what you find.
i gapped the plugs and torqued them right so i dont think its that.but i havent done the cap and rotor, the fuel pump just went out,so i am going to replace it,and see if i still have this problem.if it does it again, then i will do the cap and rotor.thats all i can think of i have done everything else.thank you!!!!!
