I have had several F-350's over the years. Great truck. I have a new F-350 4x4 with 3:55 gears. Did my break in miles. Hooked to small load (6500 lbs.), started up a slight hill (pavement), first gear, truck started shaking. The more I depressed accelerator, the worse it got. Let off and eased up the hill.
Empty, no sytems. Only happens at at very low speed. Anyone else experienced this? First one with 3:55's!
Thanks!
Welcome to FTE Alan. Just a few questions. What motor? What tranny? What RPM's did this occur at? and what type of trailer? Did you try pulling the same trailer with a different truck up the same slope to rule out any trailer issues? I've had some gooseneck loads that would act as you describe.
6.4 Diesel with automatic. 1st trailer was 20' tandem with my Jeep & 4 wheeler in the bed of truck, total weight 6500 lbs. , second was a 32' gooseneck with pretty good load of windows, probably about 10,000 lbs. Thanks!
