I need an idea on where to look, what to look for on this one. Truck stalls out at every left turn. Spits, Sputters, Dies....not getting fuel is the diagnosis I've given it but cannot locate the problem. Gimme some idea's. Thanks,
Mike
What do I need, how do I check the fuel pressure while in the truck driving? It's only doing this on left turns, spits & sputters, stalls out sometimes. Also, my tac comes down to 0 when off, but is always registering 3400 while the engine is idleing. It idles fine, not high at all. Could that have something to do with the apparant fuel loss in left turns?
Thanks for the help.
I'd start out looking for wires being pinched by the steering linkage, wires that may have come loose and fell down or up around the steering shaft.
Then look on the inner fenders for something anything that has come loose and moves/rocks to one side rubbing or pinching/pulling on wires when you turn left.
Then look under it for a heat shield or something pulling on wires when you turn.
I'd tend to think it be something like that over a component failure of some kind.

If it only happens when the gas tank is low on gas, it may be a pick-up problem in the gas tank. I has a similar problem on a Jeep one time and it turned our the pick-up on the fuel pump in the gas tank had come loose. So, when the gas tank was only about three quarters empty, it essentially ran out of gas. It sputtered and stalled when I came to a stop and the gas sloshed forward.
