2000 f-150 hesitates when accelerating after initial start
[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 11-Apr-01 AT 01:46 PM (EST)[/font][p]I have 10,700 miles on my new f-150 and it has not been running right after the first 5,000 miles. I have the 5.4l engine. After I first start the truck and put it in drive it wants to hesitate when I first accelerate. The problem disappears within 2-5 seconds. I've had many different computer chips put in the truck by our local ford dealer. They can not solve the problem. I've given them 5 or 6 months to solve the problem but still no fix. I'm at the point where I want a new engine or a new truck. Any suggestions on the mechanical problem or how to get a different truck. We have a lemon law in North Dakota. I'm not the only one with this problem. They have found the problem locally on an explorer, f-250 v10, and another f-150. Do you have any suggestions? I also have the rough ideling problem.

1. Your Ford dealer does not replace computer chips. He simply re-programs your existing computer with his diagnostic equipment.
