1996 Explorer 5.0
I came across 2 1996 ford explorers in a u-pull-it, I pulled both intakes GT40 and the trottle bodies....but when I started pulling the heads i knoticed they were not GT40P...the were true GT40...has anyone else run into this.....and what size is the trottle body?

96 and early 97 models had the GT-40 setups. The P heads did not come until later production in 97. The throttle body is 65mm... 
That is a good find. A lot of the mustang guys pull the Explorer intakes and run them. The are not true GT-40 uppers, but are very close to the same.
