Spewing oil
I have a 1999 f250 superduty diesel that ran out of fuel, now it's blowing oil everywhere. Is there a connection? This comes after taking off the fuel tank and cleaning it due to bad gas. After cleaned a few gallons were added and I ran back into the house to get something and before I could get back out it was out of fuel. I went to the store and got a few more gallons put it in, truck started right up. But now I have no power and I'm spewing oil.

It looks like it is comming from the seep hole in front of the flywheel, as well as it is leaking all around the oil pan but it seems to get worse as the truck runs and the longer the truck runs the worse the power loss. another question i have could the fuel pump be bad? I was always under the impression that either the pump works on does not work?

There's a good chance you are leaking oil from the high pressure oil system, either the pump o-rings or the hoses. This might also be causing you out of fuel symptoms. You need to find out for sure if it is oil on top and if it is, where it is exactly coming from.

With the engine running, look on top to see were the source of the oil is dripping. Its also not a bad idea to clean up the top first, to make finding the oil leak easier. Be sure to have a flashlight, its kinda dark up there, specially with a person covering it! Good luck
