Poor Billy runs in and sees the mule layin' there all collapsed on top of this kid, yells for help at the top of his lungs. The lone salesman (remember it's a brand X dealership) wakes from his daily slumber and asks what's wrong with him. Billy commences to tellin him they need help or the boy will surely die. They decide to take one of them off brand trucks and tie a chain to what passes for a frame, then haul the mule off the boy. After several tries they find one that will actually start and they back it over close to the.....

Story Time
...site of the accident. They hook up the tow chains to the "real truck imposter" and rev the engine all the way up to it's redline of 2500 RPM! they dump the clutch, the mule gets up on it's own, and drags the whole mess right out the door! About the same time....
....that the mule is pulling the chebby up the street, good ol' Clem Wilkins shows up in his 2002 F550 to save the day. What in the hell's goin on here he says. That dang mule gettin' mighty ornery- must need his rabies shot. Clem pulled out his dubble barreled shotgun and put an end to the commotion before him. The mule finally relaxed as smoke and radiator fluid were spewing....
but Clem wasn't done yet, no sirree bobby. Clem decided that the Chebby dealership probably played a part in this cluster and he by God was just the man to do something about it. He noticed a propane tank just outside the dealership and pointed that double barrel at it, determined to rid his town of the Chebby scourge once and for all. Clem pulled the trigger and BOOM!!! The resulting explosion....
had leveled the car lot.Through the smoke and rubble holding Mercury by the reins Kathy Lee Gifford walks up to Billy and asks is this your mule. Billy replies buy telling her the whole storey as they walk Mercury back to the 78 F250 and put the tailgate back on. Just as Billy gets Mercury all setteled in the back and locks up the tailgate. Kathy Lee floors that big 460 heading out of town at a high rate of speed. Billy and Clem right behind her in Clems 02 F550. Well they follow her to the interstate where Kathy Lee is pulled over by a State Trooper.The Trooper asks her where ya goin with that mule in such a hurry missy.Kathy Lee looks the Trooper in the eye and says....
I'm going to the vet. My mule is very sick. I wouldn't touch him though he bites. Mercury get away from the car. The mule just booted out the state troopers windsheild. While the trooper is occupied. Billy Joe got the mule in the back and speed off. The mule started calling him names(francis the talking mule). When he reached the other town...
.... the 78 f150, the 02 f550, clem, billy joe, kathy lee, and henry the talking mule all came to a screeching halt in front of the vet's office. the state trooper was nowhere to be seen as his chevy impala failed miserably in an attempted pursuit. just as they were getting henry down out of the back of the pickup truck....
....who should walk up but none other than Regis Philbin him ownself. He tells Kathy Lee how much he misses her on the show and that it just ain't the same around there without her. He proceeds to tell her that he'd work for free if she comes back, offers her a contract for a bazillion dollars, unlimited shoe and make up allowance, and a brand spanking new Super Duty. Kathy Lee tells him she's gonna have to think on this one for a while. So she tells Regis and Clem she's goin in the vet's office and for them to watch her.......
