Finally I am finding some time to do a little work. I know this has been asked before, but what is the best book out there to assist someone with little knowledge. The cab is ready to mount and panels need a better fit. I did get some pics of some very nice trucks at Smokey shadows.
Thanks
Dave
Your talking about resoration of your 1955 ? I've always figured buying one of the 1954-55 Ford Truck Shop Manuals is about the best you can get. A new book runs about $35 . There is also one called How To Restore Your Ford Pickup 1946-67 about $25. The restoration book is pretty good because it explains how to do engine, trans. work, the usual problems found with rust and body repair, it covers electrical and lots more. Actually your truck looks pettty good already. Keep in mind this is a great site to have questions answered regarding restoration, customizing and fabrication. And that probably any problem or question you may have someone will know the ansewer or have good advice.
Thanks, I have the doors on , but need to get a better fit, and also have the tilt hood kit on. The frame, motor and tranny is all done., I just wish I could get a better fit on the fender and hood right now.
