im sure youve had a billion posts about this...
my gas guage always reads full, unless my tank is completly empty, what part do i need to fix this and how do i go about doing it? I've ripped apart everything in my truck but my dash, so im a little unfamilar with this. thanks in advance
If you had a variable resistor or another sending unit, you could unplug the tank wire and see if the gauge moves as you change the resistence. (you connect the resistor to the wire with the other end going to ground). A quick test is to short the wire to ground; the gauge should read full.
