New Here------engine swap

I just thought I would say hello. I am not new to F-100's just to the Forum. I will get some pictures of my 64 soon. I have the 292 (Not # matching) engine in the truck now but I am thinking about puttin a BB 460 or atleast a 351W I have not really deceided yet. I will also be pulling the body off and cleaning the frame as I did not do it when I got the truck painted, I was 16 I just wanted something to drive. It needs a few odds and ends and it will be a very nice 64 F-100 Style-Side Custom Cab LWB truck. Anyway enough rambling, Its great to know all you guys are here for help and support. let me also be the first to be a bit hard on you... #s matchin isnt a ford thing... its a gm thing... atleast that is what i understand... some one will either b!^<h me out.... or they will agree with me on that...

donate your 292 to me when your done, =] just give it to me so i can build a bad @$$ Y for my 63 while still driving mine...

You can put just about anything in them with the right mounts. Welcome and have fun.

drof46 is right, I put a 429 in my 64. It wasn't easy but it can be done. I'd be happy to answer any questions I can about the swap. Good luck with your project.

Welcome to FTE, this is the place for getting your questions answered and much, much more. I would not be to quick to give up on that Y block. You might want to do a little research on what you can do with it. Once again Welcome.
