Hi, I have taken out the jump seats in my 2001 Ranger XLT. I have been thinking of just selling them if they have any value or just dumping them, but I wonder if I go to resell this truck will it cut the price. I couldn't figure out what use they were when I was driving in the desert, it took too much space out of the rear area so I just removed them and while the additional space is great I am wondering what to do with the darn things, too bulky to keep on moving them around. Any Ideas?

how hard where they to take out? i'm thinking about removing mine to store more tools behind the front seats.
Not hard at all, took a bit though, and you have to have Torx bits to remove the bolts. I have the seats and belts, but lost the bolts in moving. So I am thinking that since most would rather have the truck without the seats, I might just toss them. I do not see a resale value in them if no one wants them. They are just space consumers and have no practical purpose. No adult would ride in there and I don't know anyone with kids. So it goes. With them in there is no space behind the seats, with them out there is more space, fits a cooler and some bags.
Maybe I'm the only one that actually has use for them. My wife and Mother-in-law (who are both pretty small) sit in those seats while my Father-in-law and I are in the front, when we all go to ballgames together. It's nice to hear that they aren't real hard to remove, because I just might do that, before the wife and I go on vacation in a couple of weeks. I have too much crap in the bed for the luggage to fit in there right now. It'll be nice to have more room behind the front seats.
