When you air checked the center support, did the forward clutches apply? ( Yes it did) As for being in low overdrive off no go. When I first installed trasmission it when forward and shifted up and down and then stoped. Thats when I noticed the teflon seals on oil pump were damaged
Could be if in low and step on it a bit it tries to move but doesn't almost like your trying to push it up a hill by hand. When shifted from park to rev its there and its out as soon as its in neutral
Forward clutch stack you say beveled washers in first now which way ? So bevel is down right. Cushion plate is which one. Or is that the same as the spacer plates? thanks Robert. p.s took apart and I have got this pack in backwards I think that is why I have to forward. also if this is the fix I am gonna reuse center support bolts anything special I should do to them
Clutch stack in the drum; starting with the beveled pressure plate (bevel down - flat side up), then the cushion plate and a steel plate. Then alternate friction steel, friction, steel until all of the plates are in place. Finish with the thick pressure plate.
Where are you getting these great photos? Take them yourself?

No, not these, but thanks
I am a member of a few transmissions rebuilders support sites. Me and my father have operated trans shops in Atl for over 20 years. This info for me is a must to be able to run these centers.
Yes this clutch pack was wrong. The orginal I built was smoked and I now know why the stack upsidedown and missing the cushion plate. I have got the whole thing together now and works great. Only 1 thing, when put in park the pawl clicks a few times till it hooks up how do I fix this. I want to thank you greatly, if you and this site wasn't here I might still be stumped lol
As far as the park problem I would check the shift cable, make sure that the cable isn't keeping it from going all the way into park. Mabye disconnect the cable and put into park by hand and check. Dont run over yourself!! Have a friend in the truck!
