Just put a set of Bilstein shocks on my 2005 F250 Superduty 4x4 diesel truck over the weekend and let me tell you WOW!!!!!! What a difference!! Never though driving my truck could be that comfortable. Way better then when the truck was brand new. Anyone considering them..it's deffinately the way to go.
Where did you get them from and how much did they set you back? Did you do the leveling kit and steering stabilizer at the same time???? I'm looking to do mine in the next couple of weeks and i plan on doing the leveling kit to bring up the front but i haven't started shopping for the best deal yet.

Tom. Remember the best deal doesn't always mean the cheapest price. Our sponsor here will answer any questions you have and make sure you order the right parts the first time. He will also be around in case you have any questions during the install. You might save $5 on your order somewhere else, but that savings disappears quickly when you have to return the wrong product or wait a few days for any kind of support.

Tom
Got them off a FTE sponsored site..cost me $272..no leveling kit since i have the snowplow package..my truck sits level. I also replaced the steering stabilizer with one made by Rancho $45.
wow that is a good price. hmmmmm do I want the 2.25 lift or just the stock ones.
What is the spring rating on these Blisten springs? I would like to have something that is equal to the snow plow springs that are currently in the truck.
Thanks for the input, i've emailed back and forth w/ Dan quite few times already regarding shocks, tires, etc and he's been very helpful. I've been debating putting on 7,000lb coils up front vs. the Bilstein BTS system and i can't make up my mind.
HelpIMStuck-
I also have the plow package on my truck as well but my truck definitely doesn't sit level up front and it gets worse once i hook up the plow, do you know what # coils you have on yours?

where do I find that info? I don't have a plow..just the plow package.
I believe it's on a white sticker on the side of your driver's side door. There should be a variety of specs listed including front and rear spring rate. The front is listed as CC if i remember correctly........mine are 6,000 so i'd be curious if your truck has the same rating.
I think the Bilstein springs will sag a little more than stock plow springs under the weight of the plow. They are designed for improved ride quality.
IMO, the way to go with a snow plow is coil spacers since you can keep the 6000lb coils....or upgrade to 7000lb coils as well.
I'm tempted to do either the Bilstein 2.25" or Icon 2.5" on my 07 to clear some 35s when I kill these tires since I could use the added ground clearance and improved ride (I hate stock shocks...and would like more travel before I bottom out). Then if the day comes that I have to put a plow on it, pull them out and put some spacers in it.
Ok so here's a question Dan, could i upgrade to 7000# coils and put Bilsteins on all four corners and have a pretty good ride? Or would the 7000# coils be so firm you wouldn't notice an improvement from the Bilsteins??? Also, if i were to do that combination, what size tires could i run w/ no rubbing etc b/c it's almost time for new rubber.
