Would this be a mistake

I have a 96 F250 powerstroke automatic 4x4 with 230,000 miles. Truck still runs great. It is actually quiter and smoother running than all my other powerstrokes. I was thinking about putting a DIY intake, 6pos chip, and exhaust on the truck. Would I be setting myself up for part failure due to the mileage?

You'd be relieving pressures and issues with intake and exhaust, but the chip would counter that. so it'd be ok. lots of guys on here with much more mileage and mods.

Is there a part number for the 4" piece of pipe for the DIY intake or does any body know where a good place to get it from would be?
