Welcome to FTE,

No personal experience with Banks products but the general opinion is their products are good but way overpriced. You can find similar or sometimes superior quality products for a lot less. Check out the sponsor list on the left of the forums and ask some questions. What kind of truck to you have?

Sorry to hear that. I would suggest doing a full-on search of all of the Powerstroke-related forums; here, The Diesel Stop, Powerstroke Nation, etc., and then make an informed decision....not the decision that Gale Banks makes for you.

Avoid banks. Not bad products, but SO PRICEY! Like Chris said you can obtain the same goal with less money. What exactly do you want to do? Intake? chip? Exhaust brake? Exhaust? You ask and these guys here will give you great advice on a cost efficient way to get your truck going.

i think its a 2003 engine but by the time they get out here it is complianced as a 2004 model
the last F truck to be sold by ford aust was only about 3 or 4 months ago they are not importing the 6.0 version. bit of a bummer but on the bright side the price of them has gone through the roof, some people are asking over 100,000 for a F250 with up to 100,000kms on it

getting the big hoss kit direct from banks will save me nearly half the amount they charge for the kit here in australia, and it has everything that i think i need apart from the NOS

i wish i lived in america sometimes u guys have got so much to choose from and all at a good price.
thanks for the insight cody i will look around a bit and ask some Q's

And your truck will. Not sure of all the dollar exchange stuff but email some of our sponsors to see about costs plus shipping to down under. Maybe they can help you out if you place a large order. I remember another member of FTE recently going thru some pain on finding a complete 7.3 engine. He was quoting some outrageous prices. I guess we are a little spoiled.

Bottom line is, you got one of the best powerplants under your hood.

Not sure where you live in Australia I am near Brisbane and am the one ponyboychris refers to. There is not a lot I would by from importers here as it is too easy to do it yourself straight from the U.S. Anything you bring in over 1000 will incure a gst charge but that should be about it. As for the exchange rate the Aussie dollar was at .97 cents last night so divide the U.S. dollar amount by about 2 cents less and you will have the price dont forget the freight, Fed ex Dhl or Ups are all good and deliver to you door. I've got a set of up pipes and an afe 11 filtter on the way.

NOS? Hmm i hear its extremely volatile. you can beat the crap outta "petro" guys with a setup that doesnt include NOS. Jorge pretty much summed it up with his post. Another good place to get the exhaust is from MKO Diesel. Cheap 5" straight piped system is LOUD! i got it on mine. there are alot of little mods you can do to put out some big power. If you really wanna make some power do injectors and HPOP. also you have PMR's so you shouldn't push 400HP. Start with intake, exhaust, maybe some in tank mods, and gauges. to make sure she lasts! Me and the rest of the guys would be happy to answer any more Q's - im sure someone else will chime in
