weird Noise while driving
I am getting this weird whine while I drive. The noise moves with the engine, such as shifting. The truck drives great, just a weird noise. Also the noise is not all the time. Could it be the serpentine belt slipping on a pulley? It seems to get worst when the A/C is running and the last time I heard it I noticed that the A/C was blowing hot air. (this was shortly after starting it) Any help would be great. The dealership is going to charge me each time I take it in for troubleshooting. I don't want to take it in for something simple.

Try the easy stuff first. Take the Serp belt off and spin each pully by hand and see if any are loose or "wobbly". Then start the engine with the belt off and see if the noise goes away. If it does, one of your pullys are bad. It could also be the bearing in the alt. Good luck.
