Is there a better way to tap into the fuze block than jamming the bared wire ends in between the fuze and its clip? I want to mount several gauges so will need several connections.

I personally would get a fuse block from my local parts house and run a wire from the battery to the i/p and then tap off all my additions. That way every addition is protected by its own fuse. By jamming the wire in you will either overload that circuit (tapping off load side of fuse) or not have any protection for your addition (tapping off source side of fuse).

That and my experience has been if I ever remove the device running off that wire, no fuse ever seems to fit correctly in that slot again. I always used the inline fuses that go right in the hot wire and get my power straight off of the battery but I like Russel's idea too.

Hey Russel, don't forget.

That gives us 7 of the top 10 cars in the Winston Cup finals this year.

Your '95 has 2 fuse blocks, and probably has PLENTY of empty positions in each. Get a few spare terminals from some junkyard fuse blocks and add them to yours so you can use the empty locations to add your circuits. They just pop out if you're careful and you just pop them into your truck. In the engine compartment, you have to remove the red parts before you pull the terminals. Some positions will automatically connect you to hot, while others are missing both terminals.
Autozone sells a piggyback thingy that plugs into one of your existing fuse slots (regular or mini) and has 2 fuses- one to feed the existing circuit and one with a tail for the new circuit. $3

And when you use one of them "piggyback thingys" (fuse tappers is the correct name for them) make sure you put them on the source side of the fuse, not the load side. You'll blow the fuse you are trying to "piggyback" off of the load side. The fuse is installed in there for only it's load, not the one your adding.
