Yeah..it's unfortunate that it has to be that way. It's starting to get like CA..where only the middle to upper income and higher can afford to buy houses. I bought a house back in October, and I was only able to do so because I took advantage of this lovely little foreclosure housing scare thats been goin on lately. Otherwise there was no way. A house like the one I linked to would be a million dollar house out here. It's kind of amazing.

Thnx Mike. He doesn't have a job offer yet, but I am willing to bet they offer it to him when he flys out there on Wednesday. I am just going into freakout mode and I am trying to mentally prepare myself, as I have already told him I would go with him. I am the one that found the job and talked him into applying for it!!! He has so much potential and this job is the opportunity of a lifetime for him. I am willing to put my career on hold to see that happen. Looking at pretty houses makes me forget about the hurdles we face if we are going to go through with this!

baddest golf cart i ever saw was when I lived in AZ - there was this motorcycle shop about 1 mile from me.... they liked 'projects'... they had go-carts with 250cc & 500cc dirtbike motors (140mph capable!! )

the golf cart project had:

custom A-arm independent suspension F&R
atv wheels/tires
ridiculous amounts of lift (probably 10"+)
wheelie bars
1000cc sportbike motor!!!

those guys did crazy stuff and were just awesome to hang with!! ever seen a golf cart laying down twin strips? that thing would.... it NEEDED the wheelie bars...

nick i just got the coolest idea for your golf cart you should put a diesel in it id say a diesel from a John Deere gator or from a polaris diesel atv maybe Jody from DP Tuners could help you chip it then you gotta make it a smoker with 3 inch chrome up pipes man that would be SWEEEEEET

You can get that Dp-tuner then ..more time to fix the stuff you break

Yeah taxes are high in midwest states with lower populations... but they are high here in CO, too. Randy has a 3 bedroom house near Denver and I think he pays 1,500 a year, and his house is half the size of that house in the listing I linked to. Right around the same price tag too, median price tag around here for a nicer house is $250-$300k. You can't phase me, I live in a really expensive state.
My invites to the parties is in the mail right??

I used to live in Montgomery county MD...check out some prices there on houses and then look at taxes...I belive the property tax on my old house was $900 a month

Ya know, I'd bet that my 3 cylinder generator diesel would work. But it's liquid cooled. Sure is small enough to be used though.
