My Moto Metals have a -12mm offset. They are 18" wheels, and I've got the same size tires you're looking at. They stick out mabey an inch or so further than the stock tires did. I think it's about right. Here's a couple pics.

Wow truckin, are you reading my mind? This is the setup I am going with in the spring, black of course! Buddy of mine just got 35" on the 20" rims on a blacked-out new f-150, looks unbelievable!!!

Yep, for a 99-04 you'd want a -12mm offset on a 9" wide wheel since that is 4.5" of backspacing.

Be careful with 33/12.50R18s......I know the Toyo MT and Kumho MT are only rated at 2910lbs per tire in that size the last time I checked.
If you step up to a 325/60R18 (33/13R18) they are rated at 3525lbs per tire.

The zero offset, would be 5" of backspacing. -12mm is 4.5 inches of backspacing (atleast on a 9" wide wheel) 9" wide wheels with 4.5" backspacing, and 285 width tires, moves the tread out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch, from were the same size tire is, on OEM rims (7" wide, 4 inches backspacing) 9" wide wheels, with 0mm offset (5 inches backspacing) would Ideally keep the tread in the same location as OEM wheels. Moving up in width, to the 12.5 inch width, with 5 inches of backspacing, would more then liekly limit how much you could turn your wheel, and your tires would definetly rub your springs, when you turn sharp. I wouldnt do the 0mm offset (5 inches of backspacing) unless you went with a 10" wide wheel, (spaces your tire out 1/2 inch) But Ideally with your tire width, the 9" wide wheel, with the 4.5 backspacing (-12mm offset) should be what you really want.

The reason Im up on all this, is because I didnt want to gain much track width (1/2 inch per side) when I got my 17x9s, and with the 285 tires, I couldnt be happier. Looks tough as he!! IMO, and I didnt really want to have tread outside my fenders, (however, its definetly at the fine edge of flush haha) but I wanted to get rid of spring rub at full lock, and keep 285 width tires.

Donnie, are you getting black or chrome rockstars, and what kind of tires? You want a 8x170mm bolt pattern. Also, before you buy, check out the prices at www.super-tyte.com... Call the guy, ive bought from them twice and some others on here has (kenny did too) and he's got great prices.

Another positive experiece from Super Tyte wheels here...I think I was the one that told Kris about the place, IIRC. That's where I got my Moto Metals, and when I needed replacement center caps he sold them to me at cost since I bought wheels from him. You've got to call the guy though, as there's nothing on the website. Leave a message if he doesn't answer.

I couldn't quite remember who told who. That's been quite a while ago. Your mind is still young and remembers these things.

truckin306, got an update on the rims? Just wondering how the center caps worked with the front hubs. I have manual hubs and have not found a good pic of these rims on a super duty.
