35x12.50x18

Is it safe to run a 35X12.50X18 on the 18 FX4 rims or is this way too wide to be safe and have even tire wear? Also, what is the opinion on BFgoodrich Mud Terrians? THanks.

get new rims, I had the 17x7.5 with 33x12.50s tires and the wear was in the center of the tire. I have bfg MTs in 35's on 17x9 in rims. They look great, still think the wider the rim the better tire fit. I will be testing them soon off road. They are not bad on the road. I changed to 4.56 gears with the 35. It is a good power gear for that size.

Aren't the Lariat rims 18x8.5? I've been looking at Nitto tires, and they reccomend at least 18x9 for their 35s. The guy at discount tire said that 18x9s may take a lot of weights to balance and recommended 18x10s.

I've priced tires and rims at discounttire and come up with 1600 for 18" chrome rims and 35" nitto terra grapplers.
