Trans Temp Gauge Problems

I got my Autometer ultralites yesterday. I installed them today. I ordered the full sweep mechanical trans temp gauge. The problem is, the temperature sender is to wide to fit in the test plug on my trans. Am I screwed? I think the test plug is 1/8npt, and the sender on my gauge is 1/2npt. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it.
Thanks

When I got my autometer z series a 1/8 came plugged into the 1/2, I just took it out or maybe its not that easy.

Huck maybe they messed up and sent the wrong sending unit? If not can you get a brass 1/2" -1/8" reducing coupling?

The sending unit itself is too big to fit an 1/8 dia. hole. It looks like I gonna have to take it out and hope that I can return it and get the electrical gauge that has the 1/8 sender.

Contact the company and have them send you a replacement that fits.

I just got back in from pulling that gauge out. I knew that if I didn't do it now, I wouldn't sleep a wink.

I took the mechanical gauge back this morning, and the electrical gauge with the 1/8" sender should be here in the morning.
