AFE proguard cleaning

I have a dumb question, but i have a stage 2 afe with a proguard filter. It was yellow when I got it, and had a yellow oil in the kit, but after I cleaned it today, there is no yellow to be found on this thing. Does all you guys filter never clean up back to yellow looking, or is mine just super dirty, probably from over oiling? Any suggestions besides using the afe cleaning solution to get it all back to yellow again?

Mines Blue, kinda turns white when I clean it and then blue again when I oil it.

Is the oil for these filters the same as K&N oil or do you have to use AFE oil?
