i was wondering. i cant find a 110 amp to fit anything i drive and i was just thinkging is there a way to either boost my output or to run duals with one dedicated to stereo? i really want a bigger amp but cant find an alternator to pwr it.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Dec-02 AT 10:38 AM (EST)]no its a factory setup other than a heavy wire to the bat. ive got 75 amps now but id like to boost it as much as i can without frying it.
the alt i pulled from an 89 tempo (the original was 50 amP)
I would suggest putting a 1 Farad capacitor in line with the power for the amp. What this does is builds up a charge for the heavy hits that way it pulls from the cap and doesn't fry the alternator. Any good Car Stereo supplier will have these and directions on how to wire them up. May set you pack a little money but nothing like replacing an alternator would.
