Oxygen sensor question

The engine light on my stock '01 V10 came on & had a friend check it out with his scanner. The code(sorry, didn't get the #) showed the problem was the o2 sensor "bank 1, sensor 2". I'm assuming that's the rear sensor behind the Cat but thought someone here would know for sure.
Thanks in advance.

Steve

Yes, sensor 2 is the after cat sensor.

you can replace just the one, BUT, its best to replace all . like spark plugs they get "tired" and as they work slower your fuel milage will go down. when they fail the pcm/computer will go to safe mode (run rich) just think of it as a tune up you wouldn't replace just half of the plugs?

Thanks for the help guys. pulled the sensor and noticed that one of the wires had broken, soldered it up and it hasn't thrown a new code yet. Looks like I get to keep thar 50 in my pocket a little longer....
