I like the stock myself as well. I also think the orange on the gate does not go very well with the black and white but it isn't my truck.

The truck was originaly the all the brown color thats on the hood except for the roof wich was the cream color and it had a orange pinstrip i guess that why there is orange on the tailgate. I am looking for one that just has the black letters though

That's odd. That trim panel belongs on the Indy pace trucks. I suppose it could have been changed somewhere in it's life by somebody.

I myself really like the orange trim on the tail gate; that is one slick paint job.

I was wondering where it came from becasue thats the only one i have ever seen that was orange. My great uncle bought it in the early 80s and my grandpa bought it after he passed away in I think 02 but I don't think neither one of them would have changed it.

I have another one that was on my truck before the restore but is becoming oxidized. I think DC sells them for around 150-200 bucks.
I am gonna go to around to some of the junkyards and see if I can find one thats in decent shape but if I can't find one I might have to see about getting one of those from you.

I bought it like that from my grandpa everything is still original except for the paint and it was repainted about 2yrs ago. The truck only has 95,000 original miles on it
