motor number

were is the number on the motor at? man this thing is greasy thaks in advance.

Post 10 ,right by the oil filter ...May be on the HPOP resevoir also...

The Pic I posted of the de ariation valve ,was from a 96...

valve change

does anyone think the valve can be changed by hanging the front end and jacking up the motor with out having to pull it all the way out? because it looks like mine is in that motor range number wise to have the valve you all talked about . last 2 numbers are 39 it is a 4+4 1996 f250 thanks in advance for the help

The problem is the pickup tube is bolted to the front cover...

i guess what i an saying is can u pull the oil pan to get to it or am i missing something never been inside one ?

The valve will still be there ,(if this is the problem) they just come out of the hole they are screwed into....

update the deairation vavle was the problem good call because the ford place didnt have a clue thanks for all the help .4 hours to take the motor out 20 mins to replace it with some 609 permenent heat treat lock tight ehehheh then 5 back in what a night after working 12 hours thannks again
