2 years since it ran!!!!! holy crap. get that fuel out of there! the red only means its untaxed, no worries, just get fresh fuel and change the oil again then run it hard for a while to try and break the deposits out of it. double dose on fuel additives as well to try and aid in the process
I agree, I think the red fuel is atleast 500 ppm or posibly the high sulfur 5000 ppm. I would atleast empty one tank to get good fuel in there to fix this problem then you can see later if the red fuel is any good.
Do what c00n said also. I think that will help you quite a bit. I believe you just have bugs in there and they need worked out.
ok i am going to leave it running here at work and then when i get home what is left in the rear tank i will drain. the front tank i will deal with later as it is full of water.
OK THE HERES YOUR SIGN AWARD goes to me. a friend of mine was over at the house and i am fixin to clean the FPR and he said is this supposed to be plugged in and i looked at it and i will be darned if it was the front passenger side injecter plug was DISCONNECTED, i could have shot myself for not noticing that. but anyway that smoothed it out great but i guess it is not fixed because it still shudders under load could that be the cause of anything else or does it just need to run some more
ok i turned of the OD and it still does it. i dont know about the tranny mods it has had, but if you are driving normal it shifts at 2300 RPM at each gear until 3rd then locks up the TC then kicks down into 4th at about 55-65 dependent on grade. but if you are really driving it it goes bang into 2nd locks up the TC 3-5 MPH later, slams into third and at about 70 holy crap it slams in 4th all while the TC is locked. i have never seen a E4OD so happy to shift gears. it does this the same way with or without OD except with OD off it omits going into 4th gear. This E4OD makes a C6 look like a chinese special
i just wonder how long the drive train will take that E4OD ok played with it a little more seems like when the TC locks up at low speed and it drops to about 1400 RPM it shudders/misses real hard then it will stop right around 2200 is there a way to disconect the TC so it does not lock up?
ok serviced that.... no change other than now it shifts even harder, it has gone from shifting strong to a like something has been shot out of a canon shift. i am going to a friend of mine's shop and let him hook his computer up and see what is going on. hopefully on the way over there none of these shifts will launch my butt out of the truck. one of the last shifts shifted so strong that my seat reclined by itself
