I think the main cause for the drip rail rust is the sealer that they used between the cab and rail. They would have been better off using no sealer with just a good weld job and paint.
Thunderjet, you could just mock some "429 Cobra-Jet" stickers or paint-ons & look cool, what ya' think? Since you do have the 429 in your truck already.........
Great ideas. I like the Explorer and the Free Wheeler ideas alot. I never thought about the "Boss" theme thats a cool idea too. I thought a Bi-Centinial would have been alittle more elaborate.
I found this in an ad and blew it up alittle. What do yall think this would look like at track with big ole slicks on the back I like this but does anyone have something like this only a better pic than I have?
I think I am leaning towards an Explorer/Boss theme crossover. I love the Explorer stripes always have. Been searching the Boss stripes and looks like I could blend the two into something different but would still look period correct.
BTW John that is the color of the truck now but without the stripes. It is an Explorer though

That truck pictured is a 1976 Explorer. That is my favorite of all the Explorers. Jade Green. I'd say pick that color, and explorer stripe, but leave off the boss stripes. My opinion of course.
