When you say its not quite right what do you mean? Not the same power, just not the same power you had before? Or Runs rough, hesitates/flat spot?

If the power seems down check the plugs, are they Motorcraft? or just cheap auto super mart type plugs?

You may be able to bump the timing a little more, a deg or two but be sure and check for any spark knock.

danr1, just not the same power as before. Plugs are not Motorcraft, plugs he replaced were Motorcraft copper. Engine has a Comp Cam, I don't remember the orginal timing..... I have it written down on the paper work that cam with the cam, see if I can find it.

The plugs alone could be the problem, little trial and error working on the timing setting should get you back to where it was.

That is once you put motorcraft plugs back in it.
