Does the AC system have a 'low pressure' safety switch that would keep the compressor from coming on? I turn the air on and the compressor clutch does not activate. I noticed the system barely has any pressure in it.
I guess I could check to see if the clutch is getting power?
what is the best way to check for leaks on these?
Is it worth it to convert to r134 a - I have a 30 kit from the auto parts store.
Yes, the cycling pressure switch will keep the comp. off if low on R12. Kits are bad news. Go to acsource.com, link to the main board and ask there. Can get help to do a conversion the right way, if you choose to go that way.
